폴리머(Polymer, 고분자)는 작은 단위체(Monomer)가 반복적으로 결합하여 큰 분자량을 갖는 물질을 의미하며 여러 개의 작은 단위체가 연결되어 큰 고분자를 형성하는 과정을 말합니다. 폴리머는 중합체 라고도 불리며, 자연에서 발견되는 단백질, 탄수화물, DNA와 같이 생체 고분자뿐만 아니라 플라스틱, 천연 고무 등 다양한 합성 고분자도 포함됩니다.
산업에서 사용 하는 플라스틱의 종류는 많습니다. 도면 및 제품표기에 사용 하려면 아래와 같은 내용을 알아야 겠죠. 아래 표는 A~X순서로 플라스틱 이름 약어 정리 입니다.
